It is essential to be passionate about your idea and believe that it will succeed. Rami Beracha’s advice to students at Herzliya’s Interdisciplinary Center is based upon his own personal experience. Rami started his legal studies when he was just a teenager. Although he was unsure if it was the right decision for him, he continued to study law and got an MBA in New York. He then worked in an overseas law office. The experience he had in the Wall Street legal firm made him realize that business was his real passion. He left his job and moved to France to pursue an MBA.

After graduating in 1996 Beracha started working for the Venture Capital Fund Pitango. It is Israel’s largest venture capital investment fund. Pitango invests in companies in their infancy stages, and develops the core areas of high-tech. Pitango has made over 200 investments in the past and had over 85 exits. Rami became the managing partner in 2000 , and for the next 18 years, he was responsible for numerous deals that resulted in success in the exits of Fortune 500 companies like Broadcom, Marvel, Cisco and Apple.

Then he didn’t stop there. Globes gave Beracha the 2011 „Esteemed Partner” award. He was recognized for being an investor of influence. Rami founded Sosa in 2014 as a brand new initiative. Sosa has innovation centres in New York, Tel Aviv and Tel Aviv. Here they assist innovative high-tech companies to partner with entrepreneurs across the globe seeking to work with promising Israeli startups. Sosa was recently chosen to oversee and develop New York City’s cyber centre.

The United Arab Emirates is unique in its business outlook. Ramiberacha’s Challenging Past

While Rami Beracha is a successful person today, his path was not always smooth. Beracha, like most Israelis was a soldier in the army when he was a young man. He was an Paratrooper’s Brigade combat soldier and participated during the Lebanon War. In 1983, shortly after the war, Rami was part of the rescue group that was formed to assist wounded soldiers in a wild minefield. Rami was fortunate to have fallen on a hidden mining and suffered a broken foot as well as a swollen hand.

His rehabilitation period in the hospital was one of the most challenging times of his life. He was not able to move, and he fell into despair and depression. All of his dreams of furthering his army career were lost to him, and he didn’t know who is he. Through his suffering, Rami was able to discover the drive to keep living and create new dreams. Rami made a decision to make his life more enjoyable and more satisfying than it was before the injuries. Rami was able to test out extreme sports. He is now a kitesurfer (and snowboarding), and has even been on the mountain of Mount Kilimanjaro. Sometimes, he feels that his unharmed past is pushing ahead, even though working to improve.

He donates money and volunteers in many organizations and is extremely dedicated to helping young men who, like himself were wounded during combat. Rami took a group wounded soldiers to Nepal in the year 2016, and he was awarded the rank of major. In the year 2018, he earned the rank of major in the fire brigades and paratroopers within the Israeli military. Despite all the difficulties he faced and the challenges he faced, his dream was realized in his early years as a young man. His story and the passion he has for it is an inspiration to many. Rami did not let her injuries hinder her. He kept trying new methods, learning and growing until he became stronger than before.
